Project Overview
NSD Electric has supported the Three Gorges Dam project since 2010, serving major generating units across the Three Gorges hub with electrical secondary systems for governor control, excitation, and plant monitoring. The total installed capacity served exceeds 14,000 MW.
A major breakthrough of the project was the early realization of localization for the electrical control system of 700 MW large hydropower units, helping break long-term dependence on foreign technology in this field.
NSD has delivered and commissioned three core equipment systems for the project: independently controllable turbine governor systems, IAEC series generator excitation systems, and the LDS-200 plant monitoring system, covering full-scenario applications for major Three Gorges units.
