The FDF Segmented Closing Device is a two-stage valve installed in the oil circuit between the governor and the guide vane servomotor. It provides fast initial closing followed by a slower stage to control the servomotor speed, helping prevent water hammer while ensuring safe and reliable operation of hydro-generator units.
