Project Overview
The Baihetan Hydropower Station on the Jinsha River is a world-leading project with a total installed capacity of 16,000 MW, featuring the largest single-unit capacity in the world.
NSD Electric achieved full localization of governor and excitation systems for 1000 MW ultra-large units. The delivered scope included 16 sets of MGC-4000 governor systems, matching excitation systems, and complete auxiliary control systems. Our work covered supply, installation, commissioning, grid-connection testing, and long-term O&M support.
The systems deliver fast response, high control accuracy, and reliable operation under high head and high capacity conditions. The project has become a benchmark for localization of million-kilowatt hydropower unit control systems.
