Project Overview
Gezhouba Hydropower Station on the Yangtze River is China’s first large integrated water conservancy hub, with a total installed capacity of 2,735 MW and a long operating history in power generation and river management.
NSD Electric delivered 19 governor system upgrades, 21 excitation system upgrades, and multiple monitoring and auxiliary control systems. The project scope covered aging equipment replacement, control system modernization, commissioning, and ongoing operation and maintenance support.
The retrofit improved control precision and operating stability while minimizing outage impact, providing a proven solution for modernization of large legacy hydropower fleets.
